Jana Maneva Chuposka,
"Bridge" Storyboard, exhibition
On 20 January in the Cultural Center
Tocka Jana Maneva Chuposka opened her exhibition called
"Bridge" Storyboard |
Jana Maneva Chuposka's project "Bridge"
Storyboard consists of several segments presented through
different media - video, photographs and texts, functioning totally
independent of the motion picture "Bridge". The foundation of the
project is the video recording, inspired by the main director’s idea
(the title) of the film, only - unlike the film - it doesn’t narrate
some fictive story/myth, but rather it starts with the documenting
of a real event - the making of a movie, and can be described as a
"film about a film".

from Maja
Cankulovska review...
The main idea of this project is connection. The most explicit
metaphor of the basic theme - the bridge as connection, also
specified in the "Bridge” Storyboard, is presented through
various situations: sketches of the scenes dissolving into scenes
from the film, preparations for filming linked to nature scenes,
interpretations of the actors/participants in the filming process
and interpretations and reactions about the same issue of people
passing by, with apparent symbolism... - connecting the film and
everyday life, the real and the imaginary.
