The citizens associate in "Kontrapunkt" for fulfilling a wider social interest, which special aims and tasks are: 
- involving into a wider social context
- promotion of the principles of decentralization, democratization, demonopolization, distribution and diffusion in the field of culture and cultural politics;
- permanent requestioning of the dominant strategies in cultural politics of Republic of Macedonia;
- deconstruction of the closed and exclusive cultural identities and affirmation of fluent, adjustable, heterogeneous ones;
- cultural integration of the socially marginalized communities, groups and identities
- initiating and helping different kinds of cultural production on a local level;
- taking action against all kinds of cultural discrimination; 
- taking action against all kinds of cultural discrimination; 
creating, stimulating and connecting of regional initiatives with similar affiliations that would promote close cultural values and taking active participation in the processes of cultural integration between the NGO’s in South East Europe.
