"Discovering Roma people's cultural inheritance"

Exhibition of photography named "Discovering Roma people's
cultural inheritance", organized by the Associations Oscura
and Peoni, coordinators Divna Zezovska, Vladimir Mircevski
and Elisabeth Towns, opened in tTocka on 05.05.2004.
Realization of the exhibition is supported by OSI -
Macedonia, Ministry of Culture of R. Macedonia and Le Centre
Culturel Français. |
From July to
October 2003, 30 young participants from Shutka were included in the
collective photography workshop with Camera Oscura. Participants
from this part of Skopje, inhabited mainly with Roma population,
together with 3 instructors on photography, made a place of
photography adventure. This workshop is part of a bigger
macedonian-franch project "Skopje, City of Art and History" which
primary aim is revitalization of Macedonian cultural and living
inheritance (from the catalogue).
Photographies made during this workshop were also
shown in 2003 as a moving exhibition in a bus No.20 on locations in
the centre of Skopje.
The exhibition in "Tocka" Cultural Centre will
include around 30 photographies. |
