Promising Film-Makers

be a promotion of the film catalogue "Promising filmmakers",
published by the Film Youth of Macedonia. |
It is highly ungrateful to have to make a national selection of the
most promising and outstanding young film-makers. There is always
the possibility to make a mistake in the choice. Therefore, this
project was performed in consultation and discussion with many film
experts who have already asserted and affirmed themselves in our
environment. The selection criteria, together with the age,
concentrated on the assessment of their previous achievements,
including an estimation of the promising artistic potential of these
young people.
In my twenty years of professionals involvement in affirmation of
the film culture amongst young people, and above all, through
numerous contacts and work with young film professionals, I grew
certain that this area of ours "gives birth" to extraordinary film
talents. All of them need just a bit more help, so that their
natural endowment can accomplish its full expression. This is a
responsibility of our state, as well as of all experienced and
asserted film-makers in our community.
It is my deep conviction that these young film professionals have
fully deserved their placement in this selection, and I also believe
that very soon we will witness their great accomplishments and total
international affirmation.
They will be positively the best ambassadors of our culture and
state in the world.
Undoubtedly, this list of "privileged" talents will remain open to
all those who, perhaps undeservedly, did not enter it, and to those
who are yet to come. Indeed, this will depend on their future work
and results. I believe that the Macedonian film sky will soon beam
with new film talents and authors.
