Promotion of the newest album by Foltin
Donkey Hot

The idea of  the limitless, or the story about the "hot donkey" or the love adventures of one Donkey Hot, are just part of the new collage production of the Macedonian art ensamble Foltin. They also fulfils their conceptual imperativ - to retell the story: this is a story of a donkey who wanted to be a Horse. Foltin narrates us about the language. The Language of Foltin is a collage like. In most cases it is a phonetic imitation of the natural languages, free from the meaning, disclosed to it's aesthetic function. Sometimes it is simple spontaneous esperanto. In the newest album Donkey Hot, the electronic sound nd the acoustic instruments, and besides them the different objects and toys, freely conversate and understand itselves well...
The group is formed in 1995. From the beginning of 2001 it has not changed: Branislav Nikolov, vocal; Pece Nikolovski, clarinet; Pece Trajkovski, accordion; Petar Dimitriovski, synths; Slave Jovev, drums and Marjan Stanic, percussions, as a guest.

Besides the three albums, Foltin makes music and sound design (most often live) for theatre plays in production of the best Macedonian theatres ("Macedonian bloody wedding", Naroden Teatar - Bitola 1999; MACEDOINE, ODISSEY 2001, coproduction of Dramski Teatar-Skopje, Naroden Teatar Bitola, MOT and Ohridsko Leto, 2001...) as well as two their smaller independent projects (concert -performanseHe Calls! and the Cabaret COMME MOI, LE PIAF, 2001). In the year 2000 on the Macedonian theatar festival "Vojdan Chernodrinski", for the play"Macedonian bloody wedding", Foltin received the award for best music. Foltin participates in the all important music and theatre festivals in Macedonia, and also in Slovenia, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Italy and Albania.

Let us use Goran Trajkovski comment from his review on their album: "Foltin is an unusual band which equilibrates on the age of pop music with it's music. It is not good to label them because, believe me, there is nothing similar to their music. Don't get confused, they don't play music that comes from another galaxy - but their acces to the music material is only their own. Their cocketing with the latino kitch, by which they bring deepness and discrete irony into their music, not characteristical for this genre, which give hte album Donkey Hot non-pretensious seriousness, which, cannot be noticed at first glance."
