Adzievski/Pavleski project
given on the open competition for the Venetia biennale, is a
protest against the misty and hidden "quasi-explanation"
that the national commission gave in a form of result from
the selection of Macedonian representative of the biennale. |
On 18.04.2003
in the Cultural Center Tocka, the joint project by Tome Adzievski
and Stanko Pavleski entitled "Kino Napredok 2" was presented. This
project is a continuation of their work submitted on the competition
for Venetia biennale and a certain reaction, we could even say
protest against the misty and hidden "quasi-explanation" that the
national commission gave in a form of result from the selection of
Macedonian representative of the biennale.
The part that Stanko Pavleski presents is
called "Dictatorship by the mediator - Three colors", that directs
towards the need of questioning the phenomena of visual
dictatorship, i.e. the need for relocation of the actors, from the
artist and his artwork to the theoreticians of art, who, by imposing
their fictions in the art processes make a kind of dictatorship over
the artistic text and artistic freedom.
The work from
Tome Adzievski is entitled "We are all Albanians as a matter of
fact" and is part of the cycle "Albanians as metaphor" proposed for
Venetia biennale in the above-mentioned joint project with Pavleski.
