The
exhibition "Collaging" is consisted by three segments representing
three authors with different approach in the realization of their
ideas. The objective of the exhibition is to show a combination of
differences (alike collage technique), without stressing (or
underestimating) the interests of only one author. Their only tie is
that they have worked in the "Studentski Zbor" magazine. All three
authors use the means of taking out the elements from an existing
unit in a different ways, bringing into new unit, editing and
creating a structure where the imported element takes new element,
coming into relations with their elements and changing it's visual
shape and meaning as a wholeness.
The comics of Ivanka
Apostolova correspond closest with the title of the exhibition, and
she is one of the rare authors that deal with comics. She actively
uses the collage technique in all her comics, thus creating cartoon
tables with complex meanings and "extraordinary" format (in
opposition to our habit of edited seeing).
Igor Nastevski has created maybe the most inventious front pages of
"Studentski Zbor". Through moving of the happenings, the existing
ideological messages and fragments from everyday life in it's visual
works (graphic design) gives his own commentaries of those
happenings without fear even to comment on the daily political
conditions.
Maybe the
most classical of the three artists is Dragoljub Nikolovski. He uses
the photographic medium in its "primal", pure form, without
additional interventions. In that, his relations of interest are
wide, so on this exhibition we can see photos that could be
separated into: portraits, theatre, and life and concert photos.
