Opening of Tocka
  The Publishing house Templum and NGO Kontrapunkt
opened The Public Cultural center Tocka on 29 May 2002. Tocka is
located in Skopje, on "Ilindenska" 38 street, on the same side with
the Government building. Besides offices for Margina, Templum and
Kontrapunkt, there are: gallery, library-bookstore, and one central
room for discussions, exhibitions, performances etc. The opening was
followed by Igor Toshevski's exhibition, Transfers.

  "Women-activists in a cross-border action"
On 01.11.2002 in the cultural Center Tocka there was a debate "Where the patriotism ends and where the nationalism begins" in the frameworks of the project " Women-activists in a cross-border action ".

 The Travalling Painters

Cultural Center Tocka was host institution of the two Dutch based The Travalling Painters and their assistent from Bosnia and Hercegovina, Maja Cvoro. Not only we gave logistical infrastructure, but we were activly included in all the troubles they fased in this country of ours, with the state organs, paranoid and grotesque.

 PERSPECTIVES OF THE PUBLISHING IN MACEDONIA

On the public panel discussion about the present and the future of the Macedonian publishing there were more than fifty people invited, publishers, editors, writers, translators, book store keepers, librarians, representatives from the Ministry of culture, from FIOOM, and journalists. The motive for organizing the panel were the recent strategic documents which the authorities put in power, and which considered not only the perspectives of the publishing for the period 2004-2008 but the whole cultural policy in general. Of course the always-controversial annual results from the open competition for publishing was the most direct reason.
