AUTHORS:
1. Ljubisha Kamenjarov
He focuses on his research of the line and the fragmentation of the
peaces of his compositions. The distinctly fresh portraits and
illustrative situations are enriched by many witty textual segment.
2. Gjorge Jovanovich
In the cycle Masks we can see the author’s many faces. By scratching
the surface of the sensitive paper, he’s drawing different faces-masks
that are used in everyday life. Put upon different surfaces they
achieve a third dimensional quality. Placed like that they become many
faces staring at us as we are passing by.
3. Hristina Ivanoska
In this newest and still nameless cycle she’s making intervention upon
pages of a fashion magazine. She usually underlines the contours of
the figures and sometimes even changes all of the figure’s appearance
with a use of color. Still uses drawing as a basic form of expression,
but in another context thus creating her own world on the surface of
the photography.
4. Antonio Dimitrov
His structures are mostly “unfinished” or they end where the paper
ends, but this isn’t their end…they always can be continued. His
minuscule approach and incredible patience while drawing are a
characteristic of this author.
5. Bojan Tikvarovski
He’s building a world composed of organic shaped forms. Especially
focused on the detailed processing of the drawing there are many
smaller forms in each bigger form he draws.
6. Matej Bogdanovski
In this series entitled The Temptation of St. Antonius, through twelve
tables, we find an ancient biblical scene in a different, contemporary
ambient. The author insists in representing the world of myth and
fairytales while his affinity to quote from history reviles a
postmodern sensibility in creating interesting pictorial combinations.
7. Ana Androska:
Composed of broken lines, her figures and flowers seam fragile and
tender although, the use of strong colors fortifies their delicate
forms. Apart from the forms, Ana also explores the space which at one
time is filed with a drawing and next is left completely empty.
8. Nenad Gjorgjevich
He’s trying to go back into a childish way of thinking, and be
satisfied with scratches throw on the paper without order. This way he
is closer to the primitive, instinctive way of expressing. Fascinated
by the way kids express them selves, he creates a drawing in which he
forgets about the learned rules and rather concentrates on the purity
of the children’s game.
9. Metodi Angelov
His drawings consist of infinitely multiplied forms, a repeating and
reaccuring rhythm. This particular setup transcends the classical
scheme of special organization, while the horizontal expansion is only
a hint of the next pattern.
10. Toma Domovski
At the first glance, his drawings seam like simplistic and quick
sketches or studies for a piece yet to be developed. The successful
communication of the emotional charge in the intimate scenes, speaks
of the strong and personal approach of this author.
11. Vladimir Lukash
In his works he shows us many stories: about a king who is hit by an
arrow, a snakelike woman, the flower that exegerates… with his ability
of storytelling through pictures he gives us a free entrance into this
surreal world full of fantastic stories.
12. Branko Prlja
It is not rare for the literature to have a great influence on art.
This artist is interested in both writing and drawing. He creates a
synthesis of both his interests in order to create a work that
overwhelms with characters and events that compliment each other.
13. Natasa Andonova:
The female figures can often be found in Natasa’s drawings. Some of
them are made with hasty movement in form of a sketch with highlights
being put only on certain parts of the body and face. Some are
reminiscent of impressionism, some have elements of stylization and
poetic expression and some flirt with the academic approach.
14. Lence Andonova
Lence has an interesting approach towards the female nude, one of the
favorite academic themes. The nude dominates the paper, everything
else – background, details,… is insignificant. Sometimes she expresses
her self with a strong line and sometimes that line is simply gone or
serves the function of highlighting certain body parts. In the later
case we can sense the forms by the means of wide use of the color
planes.
15. Beitula Zaimi
He shapes the dynamics and the rhythm of his works by the use of
energetic lines. His goal is to create representations of certain
relations and spaces. The rigid nature of his dominant black lines is
enriched with a smart use of colors that associates to the things he
aims to represent.
16. Mile Nicevski
The artist has an extreme and cinical way of demystifying the myths
and the ideological restrictions, various myths connected to the
culture, history and everyday life. Boldly laughing at the collective
spirit, even at the mega-cultural fetishes, he bases his
representations on irony and quotation, or better yet – on irony in
quotation.
17. Burhan Ahmeti
By looking at these drawings we can sense the way they ware built.
Many lines with different size and character and a rhythm that is
moving the drawing combined with a technique that is giving the whole
picture depth and purity.
18. Vane Kosturanov
The main subject of his drawings are the houses. By transforming the
sentence of Eghziperi “His native planet is hardly larger than a
house” we can point out the meaning that this motif has in his work.
The drawing is childlike simplistic and highlights the sense of
intimacy and melancholy.
19. Ivana Dragshich
What should we do if we can’t sleep? Try drawing! In the cycle
Insomnia, she’s bringing us her sleepless nights, and all the things
she had on her mind during her torment. These drawings are rich with
different kinds of thought, with unrelated characters set upon a stage
without any logical design.
